In the month since the last PPV, INVASION, the landscape of the SWWF has greatly changed. The first change happened when former champion and leader of the SWWF, Stone Cold Steve Austin, turned on the SWWF and joined the Alliance. Vince McMahon retaliated by reinstating THE ROCK back to the SWWF. The Rock wasted no time and soon formed Team Bring It with current SWWF champion Grand Master B, Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle. Along with Vince, the APA and the Brothers of Destruction (Kane and Undertaker), the newly reformed Team SWWF seemed to be prepared to take down the Alliance.
But the Alliance soon gained in numbers when WCW joined the Invasion. Along with former SWWF
stars Stone Cold and Test, the WCW faction regrouped with former champions Booker T and Goldberg! The Alliance grew again when the ECW hardcore legend himself, Rob Van Dam, joined
the ECW.
The Alliance, as it seemed, were set to take down the SWWF, but just 4 days before the big PPV,
the SWWF fought back! The unlikely duo of Grand Master B and the East Side Mangler succeeded in capturing the SWWF Tag Team belts from Ice and Dante at Smackdown.
Who knows what is going to happen at PRIME-TIME.
