Finally . . . DGW . . .HAS COME BACK . . .to the web.
On behalf of everyone here at DGW we would just like to thank all the fans for your continued support over the last 3 months! What started out as a simple one month vacation from the web, quickly
turned into 3! It wasn’t planned out, but as most of the die hard fans know, this is just a hobby we do on the side and many things screwed up the timeline. More on that in a sec, first
let’s talk about Uprising:
Confused and/or shocked by the Vince turn? Pissed off beyond all recognition that Big Daddy G is champion once again? Fed up with the
entire DGW/WCW war storyline? Upset that the Black Scorpion storyline still hasn’t played out? If so, then you DON’T want to miss the next Raw is Smackdown, the LAST one before the new
game comes out! We don’t want to spoil any of the numerous surprises that will take place, but I will say this: I, Big Daddy G, will be defending my belt against someone I have NEVER faced
before. The Vince Heel turn storyline will be explained in full. And more importantly, the Black Scorpion storyline will be played out by the time the episode ends! That’s right folks,
he WILL be revealed at the next Raw Is Smackdown! And if you thought the ending of this PPV was shocking or how the original Black Scorpion storyline ended, just wait to see how this one is going
to play out!
All and all, we were happy with the results of Uprising. We played this PPV MONTHS ago, so I had to remind myself of the storylines hehe.
Look for Ice and O’Haire to become major players in the near future. I really enjoyed the GMB/Taker layout and how we “unmasked” Kane. Keep in mind we wrote that part during the time
that WWE was going to “unmask” Kane. We were hoping to get the jump on them, but didn’t pan out. For those interesting, we were going to have Kane to unmask, only to be a handsome man
under the mask. He had be emotionally scared as a child and forced to wear the mask. In other words, we were going to make Kane one sick, clinically psycho dude. The WWE has “sorta”
done this, but as always there were some things I would change. Personally I “sorta” like the storyline so I’m not going to be negative out it until it all pans out.
Speaking of negative. One of the main reasons why it took 3 months to do this PPV is because most of us here at DGW haven’t been watching the WWE like we used to. When they started the “Brand Only” PPVs, we stopped getting them. Why pay $35 for crappy TV. We can get that for free every week! I know I
sound like every other negative “smark” on the net today, but it’s the truth! I respect each and every wrestler on both rosters, but the storyline are just horrible and beyond childish.
It’s like the WWE is writing for 13 year olds again. Because we don’t get every monthly PPV, that means the DGW guys don’t get together every month to have a game day. Hopefully that
will soon change, but all of us have had such busy summers. Mayhem moved, GMB, MAC and I had a wild Vegas vacation, and Nay-Bob will soon be a dad. Plus the wife and I just purchased some land
and are going to be building a house soon. Don’t worry, DGW will continue, but just understand there may be times we take breaks like these because life dictates it!
Well, join us shortly for Raw Is Smackdown (no it won’t be 3 months we promise). Here are some other misc comments about this PPV:
- I LOVED the Samantha Dorris Hustler cover. I enjoyed that one a lot. We, again, were hoping to get the jump on WWE by bringing back Lita . .. but oh well
- The screenshots for the Cactus Jack/ESM match were cool as hell. Great match to watch
- Hopefully everyone was satisfied with the outcome of the Stone Cold, Rock, Goldberg match. We had to do the “screw job” at DG7 so we could have this triple threat! And we loved how
this match ended with the double stunner. Truly a DEAR GOD moment! Look for more on this storyline in the future. Hopefully people were stunned to see what the Unholy Alliance did
to these legends. Had we gotten this PPV up in time, fans would be saying that the WWE was once again copying us by having Randy Orton as the “Legend Killer” . .. now it just looks like
we’re copying them. Hehe. Look for a more savage side of the East Side Mangler to continue.
- The Undertaker/GMB storyline is just heating up. Look for the MINISTRY and the UNHOLY ALLIACE to collide soon!
- I was pulling for the Manic on the IC title, but was cool with Benoit winning the belt. At least in DGW he gets the respect he deserves!
