There were a lot of “first” matches at Wrestlemania. It was the first ever Hardcore Party match, the
first ever 3 Stages of Hell match, and the first ever 8 Man Battle Royale. And it was also the first ever TLC Tag Team Turmoil match. The rules were simple. First it would be the Dudley
Boyz for the Hardy’s in a regular TLC match. Then the winner of that match would take on the Tag Team champs in a TLC title match.
In the history of great tag teams, a lot of names come up: the British Bulldogs, Demolition, the Big
Show and Spike . .. ok, maybe not the last tag team. But surely you have to add to that list The Hardy Boyz and The Dudleys. This classic tag team rivalry continued as these two faced off in
the first of the 2 matches.
